Problems can’t be solved with the same mindset they were created in. It requires expanding perspective and thinking “out of the box” to come up with truly creative solutions. How do we think out of the box? Ironically, by letting go of the “thinking” mind. The logical, left brain is great at putting goals into action and taking linear steps to achieve an outcome. It is less helpful with creative problem solving. For issues that cause us the most stress, it’s often most effective to take pressure off the thinking mind and open up the receptive, right brain through relaxation. The space it creates can lead to new perspectives that completely shift our relationship to the issue at hand. Solving problems through relaxation instead of stress?! Yes, please! In this workshop we will experiment with using meditation, sound healing, and journaling / art to address a stressful issue in your world. It can be personal, work-related, whatever. No need to think about it ahead of time, though if you have a burning issue that’s top of mind, feel free to use it. Though we will be in a group setting, this experience is meant to be a personal one where you have quality time with yourself. You will have the opportunity to share about your process and any insights with the group, if you so choose. We will complete with a delicious and nourishing vegan lunch.
